Government Locks  (est. 1989 by Greater Seattle F. S.)

 

Hiram Chittendon Locks, Ballard

Directions:  From I-5, go west on 45th.NW/Market St and through Ballard.  The Locks are on the left.

Fort Borst Park (est. 1996 by Fuchsia Fanciers)
 

Fort Borst Park, Centralia

Directions: From I-5, take Exit 82, Centralia and head west. On the west side of the freeway, immediately get into the left lane and turn left before Safeway. One block takes you into Ft. Borst Park.

Key Peninsula Civic Center  (est. 1999 by Lakebay F. S.)

17010 S. Vaughn Rd., Vaughn

Directions:  From I-5 in Tacoma, take Hwy 16 west, cross the Narrows Bridge and go past Gig Harbor to the Purdy exit.  At the stoplight in Purdy, turn left onto Hwy 302 and go 5 miles to the ‘T’ intersection.  Go straight to Key Center.  At the yellow blinker, turn right and then bear right at the fork. Continue to the stop sign and turn left.  The Center is on the left.

Bellevue Botanical Garden (est 1992 by Eastside F. S.)
 

Wilburton Community Center, Bellevue

Directions: From I-405, take the NE 8th Street East exit, turn right on 120th Ave.  Go south 3/4 miles to the first light and turn left onto Main St. Go up the hill, about 3 blocks. The garden is on your right.

Pt. Defiance Park (est. 1994 by Tahoma F. S.)
 

                         Pt. Defiance Park, Tacoma
Directions: From I-5, go west on Hwy. 16, then north on Hwy 163. Follow the signs to the park./zoo/aquarium and to the rose garden.

Manito Park (est. 1995 by Northwest F.S.)
 

                                               Spokane
Directions: From I-90 exit at 280 or 281 and go south. At Manito Park, the fuchsia garden is located at the northeast end of the rose garden.

Center for Urban Horticulture (est. 1995 by the Western Fuchsia Species Society.)
 

                           3541 NE 41st. St., Seattle
Directions: From I-5, take the NE 45th exit and go east through the U.W. campus, down the viaduct hill. At the stop sign, turn left onto Montlake Blvd. NE, go past University Village Mall on the left, move to the right land, and at the next intersection, a 5-way stoplight, turn right onto Mary Gates Memorial Drive. ~1mi. to CUH on the right.

Skagit  Gardens, (est. 1999 by North Cascades  F. S.

 

Directions:  From downtown Mt. Vernon, go West on Division over Skagit River Bridge and further west on Memorial Hwy. The gardens are on the left.

Directions: From State Ave., head east on Grove St. Turn right on Armar Rd. The park is on the left, the fuchsia garden on the right.

 

 

 

Kitsap Co. Fairgrounds,  (est. 1995 by Peninsula F. S.)

Silverdale
Directions: Off Hwy 3, exit to Silverdale Mall/E.

Bremerton. Go into the left lane toward E.

Bremerton, through the light, and follow the signs

right over the hill to the fairgrounds. 

 

City of Sequim Gardens (est. 2003 by North Olympic F. S.)

                 800 block of E. Washington Ave., Sequim
Directions: From Hwy 101 heading west, take the first Sequim exit which is Washington Ave., running east-west through town. Go to the 800 block. The fuchsia garden is on the right south of Staples.

Highline-SeaTac Botanical Gardens

(est. 2011 by Puget Sound F. S.)

From Interstate 5, travel west via SR-518 (SeaTac Airport/Burien freeway) about 3 miles to Des Moines Memorial Drive exit. At the stop sign, turn North onto Des Moines Mem. Dr. to S 136th. Right at S 136th, then right at 24th S, then right into Community Center complex at S 138th.
From Seattle travel south on Hwy 99 to SR-509. Take the S 128th St exit. Turn left onto S 128th, then right at 24th S, then right into Community Center complex at S 138th.
Garden located on south side of parking area.

Milton Garden

(Puyallup Valley F. S.)

Milton Community Park, 1400 15th Ave. Go up Oak St, straight up the hill from Dave's restaurant. The garden is on the left side, by the restrooms. There is a small parking lot just before the garden.

   
   

Lake Wilderness Arboretum

Hardy Fuchsia  and Species Preservation Garden

(est. 2009 by the Lake Wilderness Arboretum Foundation and the Northwest F. S.)  

          

Maple Valley, Washington

Directions from Hwy 18.  Exit at  Maple Valley Hwy 169.  Go right on Witte Rd. SE, left on SE 248 St and look for the Arboretum signs.  ( From Hwy 405 take Exit #4 to Maple Valley HWY 169 which intersects Hwy 169 at Maple Valley.)
